At Christ Church, we are learning to live with a daring confidence in the grace and freedom God offers us in Jesus Christ. This matters because we are far from perfect. Yet each week as we read the Scriptures and receive the bread and wine in Communion, Jesus graciously gives himself to us, makes us his body, and invites us to join him at work in the world.
This is our hope, and we pray that the gospel’s word of forgiveness, freedom, rest and reconciliation will find you while you are with us.

What to expect?
A Warm Welcome
Christ Church is a welcoming church community in the heart of Ayr. We welcome people from all stages, ages, and backgrounds of life, whether you are searching spiritually, wanting to deepen your faith in Jesus, or looking for a new church community. Our desire as a community is to be transformed by God’s grace to impact our families, our work places, our town, and our world.
Wherever you find yourself on your spiritual journey we would be delighted to have you join our growing community as we learn what it means to follow Jesus together.
When you arrive, someone will offer you a program leaflet, a prayer book, and a hymn book. Find yourself a seat wherever you like, and relax. The leaflet will guide you through the service, and give you a glimpse of what is going on at the church.
Services have a bit of singing, some listening and reflection, and some prayer. We believe that God meets and frees us in our worship, especially as we read Scripture and gather around the table for Communion. We hope you’ll find your time with us meaningful, whether you take part or just observe.
Beginners are Always Welcome
It may seem at first like everyone knows exactly what to say and when to say it, but it only seems that way and we’re all happy to stumble through our services together.
We’d rather be ‘real’ than ‘perfect’, and we suspect you’d rather that, too.
Children & Families
Children are very much a part of the life of Christ Church!
Our Children’s Ministry is growing and we love to welcome new families. Our hope is that the children and youth among us will experience God’s care for them in our community and be nurtured as live-long disciples of Jesus Christ… (learn more here)
There is a ramp on the east side of the church. The Sanctuary is fully accessible, and there is a wheelchair-friendly elevator to provide access to the lower level’s accessible washrooms and meeting rooms.
